Bhimtal Lake

It is a famous lake located in the town of Bhimtal. The reason why it is so famous is because of the masonry dam built in the year 1883 which enabled a good storage facility. It has a catchment area of around 17.12 sq km which is quite large.

Naukuchiatal

A hill-station perched at a height of 1220 m in the Nainital district of Uttarakhand, Naukuchiatal City whose name translates to 'lake of nine corners', is primarily known for the exquisite green-blue lake of the same name. Apart from that, the vast forested hills that surround this town along with scenic valleys are a pleasing escape from everyday life.

Ramgarh

Known as the fruit bowl of Kumaon, Ramgarh is the place of exotic fruit orchards like plums, apples, peaches and peers. Once the cantonment of the English army, this small hill station will give you unobstructed views of the snow capped mountains. Situated at 1789 metres, this place gives you the most delightful and serene sunrise and sunset.

Nainital Lake

Nainital Lake is one of the best natural freshwater bodies in the state of Uttarakhand. Being a lake in midst of a bustling township, it receives huge tourist attraction. It is a crescent shaped lake with Naina Devi Temple at one end.

Kainchi Dham

It is one of the most famous ashrams in our country. There are many followers of Kaninchi Maharaj who believe in his teachings. If you want to go through a spiritual journey, this place is a must visit. It is at a distance of 9 KM from Bhowali and 17 KM from the town of Nainital.

Kilbury Bird Sanctuary

Kilbury bird sanctuary is the ultimate destination for anyone who loves watching birds. Due to this reason, it is also called as the bird watcher's paradise. Most of the people who visit the place are frequent visitors who take time out of their lives to watch birds and fulfil their desires. This sanctuary is placed in midst of the reserved forest of Nainital.

Mukteshwar Temple

It is a 350 year old temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and is a famous tourist destination in Uttarakhand. There are many such temples throughout various states in India. It is situated in the Kumaon Hills and is 51 KM from Nainital. Usually tourists prefer road vehicles to get to the place.
